Well, it’s that lovely time of year again when The Phoenix Festival looks forward to another great free event with lots of people attending and enjoying themselves.
The dates for your diaries are Saturday 24th August & Sunday 25th August 11.00am – 10pm both days.
The Phoenix Festival is a volunteer community music and arts festival that offers two days of music, dance and family fun in the Abbey Grounds, Cirencester.
The event is run by unpaid volunteers for the community of Cirencester and the surrounding villages.
On Saturday evening they have a great Guns N Roses tribute act – Guns Or Roses. Formed in 2009. Guns or Roses began extensive rehearsals to launch themselves as the ultimate tribute to the Hollywood rockers.
Now 13 years on, they have firmly established themselves as one of the best tribute bands out there. Since their concept they have wowed audiences and gained many fans.
On Sunday a Take That tribute act called Rule The World will get everyone singing along. Now in their 15 th year of touring “Rule The World” have been recognised as the number 1 Take That tribute act in the world. And the only Take That tribute band to have been praised by Gary Barlow himself.
During the day there will be lots of other music to keep everyone entertained.
Apart from all that, there are the usual many stalls, exhibits & arts, unusual gifts, plenty of food stalls, drinks tents and a fairground with a big wheel, along with a craft & creative zone for all to join in with.
So, let’s hope for some summer sun, grab your picnic, put flowers in your hair if you want to, and enjoy all that the festival has to offer.
